The Grinch

This is the sweetest, most endearing, hilarious kid’s 3D animated movie, based on Dr Seus 1957 classic “How the Grinch stole Christmas”. I just loved every second of it and I plan to take my grandson to see it ASAP!

The characters are voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch, Rashida Jones, Kenan Thompson, Cameron Seely and Angela Lansbury, and narrated by Pharrell Williams.

The movie is set in the the town of ‘Whoville’, where the ‘Whos’ are enjoying the pre-Christmas excitement of buying gifts, putting up decorations and planning their Xmas dinners. However, a grumpy, green creature called The Grinch is not amused with all the festivities. Due to his sad childhood, he hates Christmas and seeing the Whos so happy, he makes up his mind to put a stop to it, with the help of his only companion and friend, Max the dog. From his cave at the top of the mountain, he hatches his evil plan to “steal Christmas”.

Meanwhile, Cindy Lou, a cute little 6 year old girl with so much love in her heart, notices that her mother is overworked trying to take care of herself and her twin brothers, and decides to write to Santa and ask him to help her mom. However she changes her mind and decides to trap Santa on Xmas Eve and ask him face to face.

And so the Grinch’s plan to steal Xmas and Cindy Lou’s plan to trap Santa begin, both leading to a hilarious and heartwarming adventure for everyone in Whoville.

Released by Universal, the movie opens on Friday, 07 December, at cinemas countrywide, just in time for the school holidays and the festive season.

This movie is for everyone, and is classified PG.
